New Painting Exhibition at 80m2 Gallery

The 80m2 Gallery is presenting from this Wednesday July, 15 the “LIM_A : A_MIL” exhibition, the third individual one of the artist Gustavo Emé.

“LIM_A : A_MIL” is a group of works where the artist has applied the visual syntax of the Paracas cloaks to pass through four moments of  Lima city’s history: prehispanic, colonial, the emergent republic and the present time.

The compositions, worked on drawing, oil and digitally, represent typical objects of each cultural period, showing an interest in local processes and phenomenons such as syncretism, with the purpose to make a comment about our history and society.

The exhibition will be open until August 22, with a lecture on Wednesday, August 12.
